One friend dances on an empty parking lot in low golden light, one films a selfie, and one climbs out of the car with the wind in their hair, like the road trip reel that went viral again in 2026. Three photos in, or one photo to play every part. 15 seconds.

At night under the gas station canopy, you climb out of the car and dance the mop dance alone.
The Gas Station Dance trend remakes a road-trip reel: one friend dances on a sunset gas station parking lot, another films a selfie, a third climbs out of the car; there is also a solo night-time "mop dance" version.

On the empty parking lot, one friend dances to the car stereo with big arm swings.
Another friend films himself, pointing at the sunset sky.
A friend climbs out of the car into the wind and smiles into the camera.
She walks between the cars toward the camera, ready to drive on.
Photo 1 dances, photo 2 films the selfie, photo 3 climbs out of the car.
The dancer and the mop dancer are seen head to toe; a standing photo works best.
The selfie and the car shots are close-ups, so sharp, well-lit faces help.

It is a TikTok and Instagram trend from September 2026 that copies a 2024 road trip reel. On the parking lot of a roadside gas station, one friend dances to the car stereo, one films a selfie and one steps out of the car, to "Stay with Me" by Akcent. Most new versions are made with AI: people put their own faces, or famous ones, into the three parts.
The blogger Adel Veigel posted it on Instagram on 1 July 2024 (@adelveigel). The dancer is her friend Ravshan Dzhulpaev, the one with the selfie is the blogger Mikhail Litvin, and Adel is the one who steps out of the car. That is why people also call it the Litvin dance or the Ravshan, Litvin and Adel dance.
Yes. Pick "Just you" and add one photo. You play all three parts: you dance on the parking lot, you take the selfie and you step out of the car. A sharp, front-facing photo works best, because your face gets a big close-up.
It is the second gas station dance trend, from October 2026, also called the mop mop mop dance or the guy dancing at gas station meme. In AI clips, an old man dancing at a gas station at night climbs out of his car and does the mop: both hands clasped and swept side to side, low bounces, arm swings. The mop dance AI clips go back to 5 October; the mop dance trend took off on TikTok on 14 October. Pick "Mop dance" for the gas station mop dance with your own face. It is a different clip from the road trip reel of the other two versions.
